Hello I am Fonzie! The essence of cool, calm and collected. Just like “The Fonz”.
I came to NASAP with my friend Vinnie but after a year in care we realized Fonzie needed a quieter home. He lived with 3 active kids and did well but he would hide and stay in the basement majority of the time or upstairs in one room. He really seemed to prefer the solitude, until he went to a vacation home without kids. He was running around and playing with toys, something he had never done before. We realized Fonzie needed a slower home where he could be the centre of attention. He loves to cuddle and gently “boop” people when think they should be petting him.
He has really grown to love playing with toys and leap after them. He is the best kitty loving his scratching post.
In June we noticed Fonzie was acting unusual and after a few weeks then we found him peeing outside of the litter box and we realized he needed to see a vet. We got him quickly in and unfortunately found urinary crystals. He was full but luckily not to a blockage! He was started on urinary stress canned and kibble and he is doing wonderful! The crystals are clearing and staying at bay.
He is no longer in discomfort and he really enjoys his new food. He is a great eater. Fonzie will be required to stay on his new diet life long with regular vet checks to keep him healthy.
He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and looking for a loving home
