Meet Huxley
Huxley came to us from a partner pound and we can’t believe he waited for 5 months before we found him. He is the sweetest boy! Huxley is still showing us her personality as he was very shut down and quiet when he first arrived. But now with patience and training Huxley is starting to get excited to go for walks and meet other dogs and engage with people.
He is very quiet and we have yet to hear him bark! But we can’t guarantee that as his confidence grows because we have heard a few squeaks 🙂
Huxley initially lived with a cat (our foster Mr Pip – https://nasap.ca/animal/mr-pip/) but ultimately Huxley could not calm down fully around the cat. His first priority was to monitor and watch the cat. Huxley did nothing wrong to the cat, he would chase occasionally but the difficult part was that he would not leave his post to stare at the cat. So for this Huxley will require a cat free home.
Huxley would do well with another dog who is also quiet and reserved. He is older so bouncy and young pups can overwhelm him but he is happy to meet dogs on walks and on adventures. He also communicates really well with his body language, if he wants to play he will engage otherwise there are flowers and grass to smell or people to give me belly rubs!
Huxley is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. He had a dental surgery this year so his teeth are super clean and a couple broken ones were removed. Huxley is still needing a wellness check to ensure there are no further medical issues, we want to make sure due to his age his eyes and heart are in healthy. Stay tuned for updates on Huxley
