Meet Luna

Adopted

Luna returned to NASAP through no fault of her own. She was adopted in 2023 as an older puppy, but unfortunately her family separated and fell on hard times and were unable to keep her.

Luna is amazing and so loving. She is great at playing with both dogs and kids. She adores kids (they have the best treats)!

She loves going for runs and will be a great running partner.

She is up to date on her vaccines, spayed and microchipped. She is VERY fearful of the vet and we are starting training to rebuild her trust at the vet. She is healthy and does not require frequent vet visits, but currently her medical care requires full sedation. She is very distrustful of needles and painful procedures. We are unsure of what she went through but we are confident with her training and loving home that she will rebuild her trust. She is very healthy and will not require significant medical care at this time.

We are very excited for Luna to work with our Partner Trainer on trusting the vet, reactivity to dogs, and general training. She is SO smart; we are hoping to keep her engaged and stimulated.

Luna is very engaged with everything around her, always watching and evaluating. She is very active and loves to run. She has been a running buddy and she loves to do laps of her acreage foster home. She is happy to be around her people and she is very loyal.

Luna does have prey drive and has previously attempted to live with cats, but she wanted to hunt and chase and was unable to settle. For this she cannot be adopted to a family with a cat or small animal not caged.
