Meet Phoenix

Phoenix is a beautiful black cat with a small white marking on his chest. We named him Phoenix because we feel he is getting a chance to start over and slowly grow into the confident cat he is meant to be.

Phoenix was from a partner pound and he is loving foster care! He feels most comfortable in his room where he has his bed, cat tree, litter box, and familiar surroundings.

Phoenix is starting his journey learning about an inside kitty and around the hustle and bustle of a busy home. He is looking for a loving family who will be patient with him and keep a quiet environment. He is able to communicate when he is uncomfortable and he knows humans are the best ever, with the best treats.

Once Phoenix knows and trusts you, he is incredibly sweet. He lives with three children and two adults and is comfortable being petted, brushed, cuddled, and spending time with his family. When he feels safe, he enjoys companionship and can be quite social.

Because he is still building confidence, Phoenix would do best with someone who is patient and willing to let him adjust at his own pace. A quiet room of his own during the transition to a new home will be important. He may occasionally have a litter-box accident if he becomes very frightened or is unsure where his litter box is located.

Every day he seems a little more curious, a little more trusting, and a little braver than before. We know he will become the strong beautiful Phoenix!

Phoenix is neutered, FRCP and rabies are up to date, microchipped and clean bill of health. He does have a broken tail but it does not bother him.

If you have patience, a calm home, and room in your heart for a gentle cat who is learning to be brave, Phoenix may be the perfect companion for you.
