Meet Silas
Silas is a handsome 4-month-old little guy with a heart that is just waiting to bloom.
Silas came into care with his siblings, Merida and Gotham, after they were found on a farm in Boyle. While his siblings were quicker to discover the joys of being around people, Silas has needed a little more time to learn that humans can be trusted.
This sweet, all-black boy is the most timid of the group, but he has already come such a long way. Not long ago, Silas spent his days hiding quietly in the corner of a bedroom. Now, he feels safe enough to eat, nap and play right in front of his foster parents. And when he’s busy enjoying a meal or settling in for a cozy nap, he will even allow some gentle pets.
Silas is still very cautious and will need his new family to be calm, patient and willing to let him set the pace. But underneath that shyness, it’s becoming more and more obvious that Silas wants to be loved. He just needs someone willing to show him, gently and consistently, that he is safe.
Silas would benefit greatly from being adopted with one or both of his siblings. Merida and Gotham give him confidence, and having a feline friend beside him helps him come out of his shell and learn that the world — and the humans in it — can be a wonderful place.
Silas may not be the kitten who runs up to greet you on day one, but watching him slowly learn to trust will be incredibly rewarding. With time, patience and plenty of love, we believe this timid little boy has so much more to discover.
If you have the quiet heart and patient home that Silas needs, please consider giving this sweet boy the chance to grow, learn and finally feel completely safe.
Silas has been neutered, received FRCP and rabies vaccine, microchipped and healthy!
