Jimmy is a 2.5 year old male, domestic short hair brown tabby with white. He was transferred from another rescue to the EHS and then he came to NASAP. He is shy but very friendly when he trusts you and is just fine with being handled by anyone. After entering the EHS, Jimmy had a mouth exam and it was noticed that he has rapidly progressing periodontitis. To treat the issue, he will need full mouth extractions, half his mouth at a time, at least 3 weeks apart. The first surgery was completely on May 26 and he is recovering well so far. The second one will occur near the end of June. Our partner vet assures us that once he has recovered from these surgeries, he will do just fine and not require any additional special care. Due to the longer-term requirement of the treatment, he will need to spend some additional time in NASAP foster care before he is ready for adoption. He will likely be ready for his new home sometime in mid to late July 2016.
